20 Years of the Premier's Reading Challenge
13 Feb 2023

King’s participates in the Premier’s Reading Challenge every year. This is a government initiative to promote reading.

2023 marks the 20th anniversary of the Premier’s Reading Challenge and they have announced the '20 Book Challenge'. To commemorate this milestone, there is an additional Challenge where students can challenge themselves to read 20 books, instead of the usual 12. Successful students will receive a bonus certificate for 2023 only, as well as the award they are due to receive.

If your child completed the challenge in previous years at another school, a record of this will be transferred over to King’s. When students complete their 12 books challenge, they may choose to read an additional 8 books (of their own choice). This is entirely optional.

Students can pick up the 20th anniversary student reading record from the Library when they return their standard completed form.
