Dinner is Served

Supporting the King's Community

Our Dinner is Served program is a heartwarming endeavour at King's, designed to provide support and care to our King's families. Whether it's a joyous occasion like the arrival of a new baby, or a challenging time due to an injury, family illness, loss, or high-stress situation, our program ensures that a comforting homestyle meal or a thoughtful care package is available.

How It Operates

A user-friendly form is accessible on our website for all parents to recommend a family or staff member who could benefit from a meal or care package.

Once a nomination is received, a family meal or care package is prepared, and our Student Services team contacts the nominated family to arrange for delivery or collection.

Our generous King's Community members either cook and donate these meals or contribute through donations to support this wonderful initiative.

Meals and monetary donation boxes can be found at Student Services and Friendship House.

How You Can Contribute

Attend one of our ‘Cook-Ups’ and help make meals for our community (dates below). Please note: You do not need Volunteer Training to attend as this is not on the school site.

Nominate a family in need by filling out the form.

Donate a meal by cooking or purchasing a freezable, ready-made, family-size meal and bringing it to our drop-off locations. (Please ensure the ingredients and reheating instructions are clearly listed on the lid. No nuts, please.)

Make a monetary donation by utilising the donation boxes at Student Services and Friendship House.

2024 Cook-Up Dates
