Playgroup

King's Kids Playgroup

Playgroup is a creative and engaging environment created for you and your special little people, aged 0 to 5 years old. It is a time where parents, carers, babies and young children come together in a relaxed environment to socialise and participate in stimulating play.

Playgroup offers indoor and outdoor activities including painting, play dough, collage, cooking, sand play, visitors and excursions, puzzles, construction equipment, music and much more.

Both adults and children love attending regular playgroup sessions; some say it's the highlight of their week! It is a great time to make friends and share experiences of caring for your little ones while your kids play in a safe and fun environment.

The play space, activities and toys are set out to allow children to choose, experience and learn at their own pace with you present to lend a helping hand.

Sessions

King's Kids Playgroups are held at the King's Community Centre weekly throughout the School Term (closed during the school holidays and public holidays). We offer two Playgroup sessions throughout the week, as well as a Friday morning Baby Group (no cost). The Baby Group is offered to provide a safe, supportive place for parents with children under 18 months to connect and build community.

  • Mondays: 9:30am-11:00am
  • Wednesdays: 9:30am-11:00am
  • Fridays: 10:00am-11:00am (Baby Group; 0-18 months)

Bookings

The cost to attend Playgroup is $5.50 per session - or $50 for a teen-week term. This cost is per family and not per child. Payment can be made by cash or EFTPOS on the day, or via electronic transfer (details provided when you register).

During the session, we have a shared eating time where families are encouraged to provide their children with 'nude food' (unwrapped, tasteless) for both environmental and health reasons. Fresh fruits and/or vegetables are ideal. The session ends with group time involving stories, music and songs.

To make a booking, please contact Jo on (08) 8289 1866.
